One of Long Island's longest-running, celebrity-hosted charity golf tournaments
- the Ann Liguori American Cancer Society Golf Classic - was held for the
seventh consecutive year in Westhampton, NY, at the Hampton Hills Golf &
Country Club. Liguori, president of Ann Liguori Productions, is
best known for hosting a popular talk show on WFAN/All-Sports Radio in New York
for the past 16 years, as well as owning, producing and hosting the successful
Sports Innerview with Ann Liguori TV series on regional cable networks
around the country since 1989.

has turned into a 'happening' in The Hamptons," stated Liguori, who is also
recognized for her work on The Golf Channel. "Every year, golfers come from
all over the world to play and lend their support to the American Cancer Society.
The tournament has evolved into a weekend of golf, festivities and wonderful camaraderie
with a special group of people who come back year after year."

the celebrities playing in the tournament were former NY shortstops Bud Harrelson
(Mets) and Gene Michael (Yankees); Kenny Kramer, the original "Kramer"
on who the "Seinfeld" character is based; Hall of Fame Billiards Champion
Eva Laurance; and John Callahan of All My Children. Joining
them on the course were WFAN Yankees reporter Sweeney Murti (WFAN); former
Miami Dolphins star Dick Anderson; and TV personality Jane Hanson.

Rees Jones rounded out the teams. Proceeds from the function
will benefit the American Cancer Society's mission to reduce cancer as a major
health problem by preventing the disease, saving lives and easing suffering through
research, education, advocacy and patient and family services.
