Ann Liguori's Biography
Ann Liguori is one of the original hosts at both WFAN Radio and The Golf Channel. She is the owner, host and executive producer of the longest-running sports interview series on cable produced by a woman. ‘Sports Innerview with Ann Liguori’ aired weekly on MSG Network and Fox Sports New York and regional sports cable networks throughout the country from 1989-2003. She continues to host and produce special shows featuring top names in sports and entertainment as well as shows that showcase prestigious golf courses throughout the world. Ann owns and runs Ann Liguori Productions, Inc., a company that has overseen the sales and production of numerous radio, television shows/series, books and audio books. In addition, Ann Liguori founded and runs the Ann Liguori Foundation, committed to raising funds and awareness for organizations that work in the field of cancer prevention. Each year, the Ann Liguori Foundation organizes a charity golf event in the Hamptons and a dinner dance at Duck Walk Vineyards. Ann is one of the original WFAN-NY Radio sports talk show hosts and is the station’s golf and tennis correspondent. Ann hosted a live, call-in sports talk show every week for 21 years. She continues to cover The Masters, US Open golf (and tennis), PGA Championship and special events such as the Ryder Cup. Ann has covered six Olympics for the network radio rights holders. At the 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy, Ann was an alpine play-by-play broadcaster for Westwood One Radio Network. She has hosted shows and served as a reporter at a variety of sports venues in both the Winter and Summer Games.
In addition to WFAN, Ann hosts a Saturday morning, weekly radio show on NPR affiliate WPPB 88.3FM, from 9-10am, broadcast throughout The Hamptons, the Gold Coast of Long Island, southern Connecticut and Westchester. Ann discusses interesting topics in sports with top names and experts. Her guests include athletes, owners, coaches, authors, reporters, agents and celebrities in sports, entertainment and business. Ann frequently takes the Saturday morning show ‘on the road’ and has broadcast the show from venues such as Doonbeg Golf Club and Dromoland Castle in western Ireland, Rose Hall Resort in Jamaica, on board the Holland America Cruise Line on a surfing cruise to Mexico, aboard the Orient Express from London to Venice, from the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island in South Carolina, at the Mayakoba Golf Resort in Cancun, Mexico, from Bogota, Colombia, Disney's World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, among many other venues.

Ann was an original host on The Golf Channel and the first woman to host and produce her own weekly prime-time show, Conversations with Ann Liguori, which aired on The Golf Channel the first three years of the Channel’s inception.
Ann also hosted the celebrity golf segment on the nationally-syndicated, Golf 2000 with Peter Jacobsen.
In 2001, Ann was the first woman in sports media honored with the Association for Women in Communication's Headliner's Award, previously given to Katherine Graham and Barbara Walters, among others.
Her book - A Passion for Golf - Celebrity Musings About the Game - features a collection of interviews on the golf course with some of the most successful celebrities in sports, Hollywood, music and business. The second edition of the book came out in June, 2007. Ann narrated and produced the book into an audio book, A Passion for Life, Celebrity Musings from the Fairways.
Ann has been a celebrity spokesperson and/or marketing consultant for Bobby Jones Golf clubs, Tri-Bag, IZOD Club, Independent Group Home Living and has produced shows for dozens of sponsors including Tourism Ireland, Sharp Electronics, Volvo, Danskin, Lincoln Mercury, Federal Express, Advil, McDonalds, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Continental Airlines, Ashford Castle, Tralee Golf Club, Laurel Links, Morgan Stanley, Kiawah Resort Development, Callaway Golf, Orlimar, Ping, SuperShuttle, Desert Mountain Properties and Aer Lingus. Some of her WFAN radio sponsors include Rolex Jewelers, Select SPDRs, Tourism Ireland, Callaway Golf and Work Vessels for Veterans. In addition to her entrepreneurial and philanthropic work, Ann is a corporate spokesperson and motivational speaker.
Each year, Ann hosts the Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic. This year's charity tournament was held at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton New York. Now in its 14th year, the tournament has raised more than $1 million for the American Cancer Society and other organizations.
Ann plays in numerous celebrity/charity golf tournaments and was the fourth female celebrity to play in the Bob Hope Classic in its 54 year history. Ann served on the Board of Trustees for the National Academy of TV Arts and Sciences, on the Advisory Board of the Women’s Sports Foundation, on the Board of the University of South Florida (USF) Alumni Association where she established an endowed scholarship in the College of Arts & Sciences in memory of her brother Jim. Ann currently serves on the Women’s Advisory Board of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, is a board member of the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association, is on the Advisory Board of the International Network of Golf and on the Board of the USF Foundation.
